I can't see your face
I can't hear your voice
Am I dead?
Nay, the sun shines
On the trees
And the birds do sing
But this is not the face
My eyes used to cover
In a flood of joy
In smiles and tears
And my dreams whirled
In melodies of spring
Who are you?
You are not wearing a mask
On a beloved face
Aren't you a stranger
I am not too sure
Visages do change
In the night
And when love is dead.
